Cheryl J. Reid CPA, CGA is a lifelong public accountant who provides assurance, accounting, controllership, and advisory services to corporate, personal, and not-for-profit clients. She is known for pairing practical, hands-on experience with a steady commitment to helping clients stay compliant, make confident decisions, and grow sustainably. Cheryl is a founding partner of Adeptus Advisory Group Chartered Professional Accountants Inc.

Cheryl began her career in Winnipeg after high school, working as an administrative assistant and junior accounting technician at a local public accounting firm. She later completed her Bachelor of Commerce Honours at the University of Manitoba and earned her CGA designation in 2001.

After relocating to Brandon to join a national accounting firm for five years, Cheryl returned to Winnipeg and purchased a firm—becoming a sole practitioner in 2002. She has worked extensively in not-for-profit and childcare centre audits, consulting, and practice growth. Cheryl later returned to Winnipeg and has spent the last twenty-five years growing our practice.

In 2012, she was also engaged by CGA Manitoba to conduct practice inspections of peer firms to help ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards.

Cheryl values clear communication, strong standards, and practical solutions. Her experience as both a practitioner and a practice inspector informs a thorough, detail-oriented approach—helping clients understand what the numbers mean and what to do next.

Outside the office, Cheryl enjoys traveling and spending time with Anthony and her family—often looking for new community projects to work on. She volunteers on the Board of Directors of the St. James Biz and has played a major role in various initiatives including the St. James Village Biz community engagement, Canada Day coordinator for two years, relighting the metal trees and the mosaic mural project.
